Search Institute

Search Institute's mission is to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to promote healthy children, youth, and communities. Search Institute helps people understand what kids need to succeed and to take action based on that knowledge by conducting high-quality research, providing tools, resources, and services, and collaborating with partners to increase commitments, capacity, and effectiveness in fostering healthy development and thriving among children and youth. Search Institute serves as the Program Advisor for the National Service-Learning Clearinghouse on community-based service-learning. Learn more about Search's work in service-learning.

Interfaith Youth Core

IFYC

IFYC builds mutual respect and pluralism among young people from different religious traditions by preparing them to work together to serve others. The Core inspires, networks, and resources young people and the institutions that support them with leadership training, project resources, and a connection to a broader movement. IFYC's executive director, Dr. Eboo Patel, serves on the Advisory Council of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Learn and Serve America

CNCS

This pilot project is made possible through a grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service through its Learn and Serve America community-based grants program. Learn and Serve America provides grants to schools, colleges, and nonprofit groups to support efforts to engage 1.5 million students each year in community service linked to educational goals. Learn and Serve America is administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, which also oversees Senior Corps and AmeriCorps.

Evaluation Partner

RMC

RMC Research Corporation, Denver

RMC Research served as external evaluator for years 2 and 3 the Inspired to Serve project. RMC is a pre-eminent research firm specializing in service-learning. It co-led with National Youth Leadership Council the development of the K–12 Service-Learning Standards for Quality Practice.
